ALBANY—A video explaining the basics of the divorce process in New York is available on both the web sites for the New York State Bar Association and the state Unifed Court System for anyone to view free of charge.

The 40 minute video, narrated by Tony award winning actor Len Cariou, will better educate clients about what to expect during a divorce case and enhance the attorney-client relationship.

The free video, “The Divorce Process in New York: What you Need to Know,” was produced by the Association’s Family Law Section and provides the public with basic information on New York divorce law and domestic violence. The video provides an overview of the law and covers topics such as child support, maintenance, equitable distribution and domestic violence. It is available at the Bar Association’s site at www.nysba.org/FAMDivorceVideo and the Unified Court System’s site at http://www.nycourts.gov/ip/matrimonial-matters
